The Nubrella is here to solve all your weather worries

The Nubrella is here to solve all your weather worries The nubrella is certainly a new design for umbrellas.  The question is, is it a better one?  It definitely manages to keep the rain off of your head and shoulders but it looks as if it would then funnel it right on down to the lower half of your body.

Eight seater solar bike? car?

Monday, April 28th, 2008

Eight seater solar bike? car? Well, desperation is the mother (father?) of invention, and this "vehicle" definitely is such an example. An eight seater bike, that has 3 solar panels on top and crazy little engine on back. It somewhat resembles the "surrey with the fringe on top" from Oklahoma.

When geek clothes go bad

When geek clothes go badThese pants are an example of "oops, forgot where the line was" geek fashion. As you can see, a Bluetooth computer keyboard has been embedded in the front of the pants with a back pocket dedicated to toting the geek's favorite mouse. Speakers are included in the knees. And since these pants were obviously created by a male, the joy stick is, unbelievably enough, just behind the zipper of the fly. I would imagine that this might require a certain agility to keep it from getting wet on occasion but we won't think too hard about that. The wealth of bad jokes that the joy stick and keyboard placement engender are surely coming unbidden to mind.

Babar lookout, the big blue elephant is here Oh Babar, your species has fallen so far.  Your sophistication and charm set the standard for the world's vision of anthropomorphic elephants everywhere.  Now the blue robot elephant has arrived and has gone where you were too sophisticated to go - the local men's room.

WARNING!! Ipod cover not for vegetarians Why do I feel that we have "revenge of the chickens" happening with this Ipod cover?  Sure, they must hate those cows who do the "Eat more Chiken" campaign over at a certain fast food chicken eatery, but this is ridiculous.

Use lasers for better lighting

Use lasers for better lightening Unless you are a superhero, why do you want to create lightening?  I can understand using powerful laser guns to fight evil and right wrongs but to create lightening?  Didn't Benjamin Franklin already do that with a kite, a string and a key?

Burial, cremation or resomation, that is the question

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

Burial, cremation or resomation, that is the question Ashes to ashes and dust to dust, what method works best?  With traditional burial, most bodies are filled with embalming fluid, placed in hermetically sealed caskets and then lowered into cement lined vaults.  Nothing speedy about ones return to the earth there.  Cremation might seem like a quicker way to achieve oneness with the earth after life but even cremation has its issues by creating carbon dioxide polluting smoke.  Resomation however, breaks the body down into its component parts very quickly and all the results of the process can be reabsorbed easily by the earth.
