Babar lookout, the big blue elephant is here

By Susan Wilson

Babar lookout, the big blue elephant is here Oh Babar, your species has fallen so far.  Your sophistication and charm set the standard for the world's vision of anthropomorphic elephants everywhere.  Now the blue robot elephant has arrived and has gone where you were too sophisticated to go - the local men's room.

This unwieldy behemoth, known as the Urinal Elephant, has arrived in Japan to the delight of bathroom custodians everywhere.  Rather than deal with the unsavory job of cleaning urinals, this big blue elephant will do it for you.  Simply back the elephant up to the urinal, and turn on the power.  Voila, all nastiness is gone.

So far these mammoth cleaners are only available in Japan, but I'm sure that if we asked nicely, Japan would a few to take care of the public urinals the world over.  Of course they haven't come up with a pink elephant yet that will take care of the other restroom facilities.  I guess something's just require manual labor.  Oh if only Rosie the robot from the Jetsons was here to handle the rest of the bathroom chores with her usual wit.

Actually these elephants are so cute you might mistake it for some kind of children's bathroom learning facility.  Of course with toddlers, maybe backing big blue up and turning on the power for a quick wash wouldn't be such a bad idea.
